ABOUT
Manaal Asim is a multi-disciplinary designer who plays with multiple mediums in her work.
She enjoys 3D design and has expertise in many rendering softwares such as rhino.
She spends her free time dabbling in photography, particularly keen on capturing raw footage of urban surroundings.
She mixes 2D and 3D concepts together through her practice in creating set designs for play companies such as “t4theatre”. Growing up as a fine art student she still keeps a strong base in painting and realism portraits which translates into her current sculpture work due to her interest in the human anatomy.
She connects the 2D and the 3D world by showing how building and constructing work can communicate a story better than just a drawing.
Gaining a post-disciplinary in design has transformed her work to connect visuals with her interest in world-building and storytelling. She also tries to depict abstract topics in direct ways to materialise the concepts. For example, her sculpture piece “Fixing the Broken” visualises one's healing process from depression.

She looks to constantly improve her skills by spending her time at art exhibits and connecting with others in the industry. She hopes to show and teach her skills to others starting off within the art community and help them navigate their journey.
